San Francisco Gift Show

TRIP ~ DAY 4

An added bonus of my trip, I got to attend the SFIGF.
The VINTAGE section was great.
I had a list of 3 Must-See's ~~

Molly Quoyeser's Mixing Whimsy was an absolute treat!
I'd hadn't met her before or seen her booth, but I felt at home instantly!

 The perfect pink display cabinet!

Vintage-look bottles, decorated.

I have a bunch of old bottles.  I moved them off the kitchen counter so my husband could cook while I am gone (it was his only request regarding clearing up my stuff before leaving on this trip!).  There are so many ideas of how to decorate old bottles out there.  Maybe "just do it!" should be my motto for the year!

I love how Molly took old handwritten paper, photocopied it and used it to wallpaper the back of the pink cabinet.
Great display idea.

A little vignette

I love the graphic quality of Black & White.

Magnetic board & coordinating magnets.
I'm excited about carrying these in my shop next summer.

A necklace or decoration for gift or lamp.
Such wonderful things!

Tinsel Trading.
The rest of my photos are blurry, but I've posted about them before.

Anna was very gracious about taking a picture with me.
And you can see her booth in the background.
I took one of her classes at Silver Bella 2009 and it was fun to catch up with her.

I found a few other booths with things I liked, so I bought them.  It's unusual to get to do that at a big wholesale show!

Pretties that came home with me!

More pretty purchases.

Paper fans to sell in the shop.

Buying Trip - The Sights

Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
I was told there were antique shops here, so I began to visit.

I fell in love with this charming town.

I love the pretty colors and Victorian architecture ~ my favorite!

There is a beautiful park in the center of town.

Gardens, cared for by the local Garden Club.

Paths to stroll on.

A stream to sit by.

A few years ago, when it felt my life was falling apart, I spent a whole day sitting by this stream, writing in my journal, soothed by the sound of the water.

Railroad tracks to contemplate.

Where might one go, what adventures might one have, on a train going west?

I think I would have enjoyed growing up here.

Tomorrow I'll share photos of some of the treasures I purchased here.
