Celebrating!

This is my 100th post and 1st giveaway!

Last weekend was my shop open house.  What made it so delightful were my friends, who came out in force!  One friend is someone I knew in California when my kids were little.  She's here for a temporary job and I love it that she took her lunch hour to come visit the shop.

Another friend brought her children and they were an additional delight!  Her daughter tried on a whole bunch of my vintage hats.  Her 5 year old son did also.  Then my friend and I had to join in the fun!
  We all looked mahvalous.

The kids each picked out a vintage ornament for their tree.  Yessss -- handing off the vintage tradition to the next generation.

Louise, who is so busy with 4 kids, her husband's shop and her creative endeavors, showed up to ooh and ah!  Even tho there are lots of breakables in the shop, I really enjoy kids coming in -- well behaved & interesting kids anyway.  So I was glad Louise brought her 2 youngest.  They are sweeties!  I have used some of her beautiful photos for this post.  She is documenting Cape Cod this holiday, drop over and see her blog Cape Cod Rambling Rose

New friends also visited.  A couple with an antique shop up the road who have welcomed me into the 6A community of antique shops came by on Sunday.  Their daughters visited on Saturday.  One daughter, Lee is an amazing photographer.  Click here to see her website.

She's purchased some things from my shop for props and we have a mutual admiration society.  She loves my shop, I love her photos!

Two women who had never been in the shop before came in.  We hit it off right away.  I love making new friends, so I hope I get to see these ladies again.  Maybe they like to go out to lunch?

So to celebrate both 100 and friendship, I am having a giveaway.  I will pick a comment and send this little basket & other treasures from my studio & shop.  Leave a comment before December 24th, telling me what you celebrate and treasure in your life!

I am glad you had such a wonderful open house! (And I'm glad my kids were behaved... can you imagine the silliness and shenanigans if my two kids and S's two were all there at the same time! heehee) Your shop really is lovely, and I'm glad I was finally able to visit!

Sounds like a wonderful open house! What a great way to meet new people. All your pictures are just lovely.
And thank you for the chance to win this pretty giveaway! Celebrating Christmas has taken on a whole new meaning since we have a 2 year old little girl. Seeing things through her eyes brings back the magic of it all!

Oh what fun to have your own shop! I have an antique booth and my own online shop, but I'd love to have a store people can walk into.

I'd love to enter your giveaway...what I treasure most is my family and especially my dear little Bebe girl.

Enjoy the season!

What a lovely lovely shop you have and thank you for offering to have a "give-away". Aren't they fun? Especially when you get to hear all the inspirational stories.

This has been one of the hardest years of my life, but I am celebrating that God has been by my side throughout. I am treasuring the love and kindness of the friends who have helped me through and the opportunity to "start fresh" again in the New Year.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you enjoy your holidays.

Congrats on your 100th post.

Your Open house turned out very well - I am happy for you :)

I tresure every day. I am retired from my work as a teacher and educator. I really enjoy every day photographing and walking my little Milton. Next year my husband will retire and then we can go more often together to Budapest where we have a flat which I tresure a lot. In february I will go to Budapest with my granddoughter and her friend.
Of course my family is the first tresure in my life :)
Happy PS!

Congrats on your open house! I would have to say that I celebrate & treasure the same thing...health. We have had some scares in our family & fortunately all has turned out well & we can celebrate holidays & birthdays all together. I can't think of anything more important to me than the good health of my family & friends.

What a wonderful shop. Wish you were in my town. We would sure go to lunch. I treasure every day I can spend with my family after being a 2 year bladder cancer survivor and seeing my darling grandchildren grow up. I have to say I celebrate life but also the medical profession that is filled with so many kind, caring people. Have a blessed Pink Saturday.

Just beautiful. What a wonderful piece of your blog for someone to treasure at home with them.

I treasure and celebrate each moment. It sounds corny, but I am trying to be present in the now. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, just now. Just to breathe and be. Several passings of people close in my life this year has led me to this path. I hope to inspire others by by blog. Thank you for asking. *hugs*
